Collection of Papers, Faculty of Law, Niš is a scientific jounal which has been continuously published since 1962. Since its establishment, the journal has built a recognizable scientific and social identity and is categorized as a "top journal of national importance" (M51). As one of the most important legal periodicals in the Republic of Serbia, the journal plays an important role in the development of legal science and culture, affirmation of the academic community, and promotion of critical thinking on legal institutes and their advancement. The journal is a link between the university environment, legal practice and the wider public. Thus, it contributes to the development of a state governed by the rule of law, strenthening democratic values, and promotion of human rights' culture.

The journal falls into the scientific field of social sciences and humanities. It primarily covers topics from different areas of law: legal theory, public law, criminal law, civil law, commercial law, law and economics, legal history, and international law. Yet, it also publishes articles from related scientific disciplines, such as: political science, economics, history, philosophy of law, and sociology of law.

The journal fosters the publication of high-quality original and review scientific articles, based on theoretical and empirical research, which contibute to the advancement of legal science, as well as the publication of polemics, book reviews and scientific conference papers. The journal promotes interdisciplinary and comparative research, critical analysis of current and significant legal and social issues, and publication of articles which are the result of national and international research. The journal also encourages methodological diversity: legal-dogmatic and normative analysis, historical and comparative studies, and empirical research.

Scientific articles may be published in different languages: Serbian, English, Russian, French and German. It contributes to the internationalization of the journal and openness towards the global academic community. The journal is published three times a year but, occasionally, there are thematic issues on important legal and social matters. A special section is dedicated to high-quality scientific articles written by doctoral students. Thus, the journal provides support to young researchers.

The articles published in this journal are subject to double-blind peer review. The opinions presented in the published scientific articles reflect the personal views of their authors and do not embody the views of the journal editorial board and publisher.
